HOLOS was founded in 2018 by a group of friends in West London. The business was born from a love, as long-time kombucha fans, of quality, all-natural kombucha and a desire to make a real impact. It all started with Maya. Founders Naomi and Megan met her on the streets in Cambodia, trapped in exploitation. Maya had a passion for nail art, so they gave her a start-up nail kit and arranged for Maya to do paid manicures in a hotel lobby. Using this, Maya turned her life around. She took the opportunity, and her business started to grow. A year later she was off the streets, and her children were in school, safe and happy. A cycle had been broken. This is where Holos’ vision was born - to build a business where survivors of exploitation and trauma can rebuild their lives. Today, their busy West Sussex HQ is brewing more than just kombucha - it’s creating hope, opportunity, and second chances. Every box of kombucha directly funds paid work placements for survivors of exploitation and trauma, providing a stepping stone to financial independence, confidence, and a fresh start. Through the HOLOS Foundation, they’re working to inspire businesses and communities to create more blueprints for real change. We were inspired by Maya’s story and Holos’ mission. This is a drink with a purpose and business with a purpose.
