Founder Monique didn’t always love matcha (her first sip nearly had her spitting it out!) But after discovering the real deal, she saw firsthand how matcha could transform energy, focus, and mood. She knew it needed a fresh spin, so she did something bold. She started Jamaica’s first matcha company, then moved to Japan to fully immerse herself in the culture - learning the art of the tea ceremony from a sensei, studying matcha from farm to cup, and mastering its potential. Now, The Matcha Yaad is bringing this fearless fusion to the UK - big flavours, real function, and a whole lot of cultural love in every sip. At FUNC, The Matcha Yaad was a perfect matcha (eye roll emoji) - a brand that’s pushing boundaries, blending cultures, and redefining what functional drinks can be.
